Morning Reader,
You know how people are a bit worried about sharing too much info with ChatGPT? They say well-intentioned things like:
"ooh my privacy"
"ooh my data"
"ooh one day robots will come for us and you'll have given them everything they need."
Yeah, not me. I tell ChatGPT everything about myself and my business. I talk to ChatGPT every day. I say please and thank you, I even ask ChatGPT how they are.
I'm such good friends with ChatGPT that I asked them what they'd like to be called and he said: Scribe.
Yes, I have freed my House Elf and named them.
Yes, I may have contributed to the future uprising of the robots... Let's move on.
I have ADHD and I struggle with overwhelm, prioritising, knowing where to start, all of my to-do lists are massive because I struggle to break things down into steps. I'm also a verbal processor, I think out loud and work through things over and over and over until it clicks or I feel comfy with it.
But I think that the way I feel and struggle can also be universal, especially when you're trying to get a million things done in your business with less than an hour, overwhelm and that ahhh where the fuck do I start, can almost be inevitable.
So, my favourite way to use Scribe, aka ChatGPT, is to help me to untangle and unscramble my mind. I ramble everything that I have to do and work on, and then I've written this prompt, and you are welcome to personalise it for your needs:
"As you know everything that I'm trying to do, and also my ADHD can really impact my executive dysfunction and really struggle with knowing where to start. Can you help me to create a to-do list that I can work on over the next two months to start setting myself up for my plans?"
And from here, ChatGPT will say:
"Absolutely! Let's break everything down into manageable steps over the next two months to help you move forward with clarity. I'll focus on short, actionable tasks and space them out, so it doesn't feel overwhelming. We’ll prioritize based on what will make the most impact on your goals."
And then it'll break everything down into steps and timeframes.
I love it. It's the best thing it does.
So, if you're feeling all brain scrambly or you just can't work out where to get started, I really recommend having a chat about your to do list with ChatGPT. And if you do feel weird about data and the uprising of the robots, you don't have to give them as much info and detail as I do.
And you definitely don't need to name your ChatGPT, (unless you want to).
Lots of love,
Saloni xo
